Sell Out Scarf Crochet Pattern
Designers Notes
Read carefully before you start crocheting.
Size
One size - approximately 240 cm long, and 42 cm from bottom of scarf to end of hood edge.
Materials
Bella by Permin (50g/145m, 75% kid mohair, 20% wool, 5% polyamide) - 200 g
Esther by Permin (50g/230m, 55% wool, 45% cotton) - 100 g
The yarns held together add up to Worsted/Aran weight and can be substituted for any yarn in this category given that you can get the right gauge. If you want to brush your scarf, I highly recommend using a yarn that is already fluffy (like a mohair, brushed alpaca or synthetic equivalent)
6 mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Mohair brush or pet slicker brush
Gauge
Gauge: 10 sts x 17 rows for 10 x 10 cm in half double crochet in the back loop only, on hook 6 mm, or hook needed to meet gauge. Gauge is measured after blocking and brushing, so remember to block and brush your gauge swatch.

This pattern is made in one panel, bottom up. You start by crocheting the scarf part, from which you then crochet the hood. The hood is sewn up at the sides, and shaped with a yarn over slip stitch edge. The entire scarf is then finished with an modified I-cord.
For the I-cord, you’ll work in the third loop. Tutorial for how to find the third loop is available in the ’Techniques’ highlight of my instagram
